Background

NaKenge Adisa is a Winemaker, Chef, Certified Sommelier, Educator and Entrepreneur holding degrees in Enology, Viticulture, Culinary Arts, and Global Studies, as well as many professional certifications. He is an advocate for inclusive experiences in food and wine and is devoted to cultivating peace and paideia in all of his life's work.

 

As a sommelier and wine director, NaKenge has worked at lauded Pacific Northwest restaurants such as Canlis and Goldfinch Cafe at the Four Seasons Hotel.

 

NaKenge was Washington State’s first Black Enologist and has worked intimately with many of the region's top growers and vineyards sites.  Over the years NaKenge has made wine for Washington's most iconic producers, including: Corliss, Delille Cellars, Efeste, Leonetti Celllar, and Rasa Vineyards. He recently launched his label, Parousia Cellar, which he plans to release into the world in a radical, philanthropic, culture-making fashion.
