TANYA MORNINGSTAR DARLING
Cellar Muse Wine School has been owned and operated by Tanya Morning Star Darling since 2012, offering Master Classes for a deep dive into various wine regions of the World, as well as wine certification courses for professionals and serious enthusiasts. Cellar Muse is the Program Provider for the Wine Scholar Guild, French, Italian, and (coming soon) Spanish Wine Scholar Certifications in the Seattle Area, and also offers a Prep-Course for the Society of Wine Educator's Certified Specialist of Wine distinction.
Tanya Morning Star Darling has been working in the wine industry; in restaurants, retail, and education for more than two decades. She has been teaching about wine since 2004. Her love of classical wines, passion for history, nature, and gastronomy inspires her educational approach.
Tanya was first exposed to food and wine during her studies in France, and in New York City, supporting herself though college, and her first career in the arts by working in fine dining restaurants. It was through these early travels and work experiences that Tanya became fascinated by the interplay between wine, food, history, and cultural identity.
Tanya continues to be a stalwart traveller, visiting many of the great wine regions of Western and Eastern Europe, as well as those of the United States. Tanya regularly visits family in Italy and Norway.
Tanya has been a faculty member at the Northwest Wine Academy, and has also been teaching WSET coursework since 2012.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Tanya has completed the following wine certification programs:
