Catalunya (or Catalonia in English) is an extraordinary region, home to Barcelona and known for its sparkling wine, Cava, and the sought-after reds of Priorat. The region enjoys a diversity of climates – from vineyards grown on warm Mediterranean areas near the coast, to more continental in the inland hills. In this masterclass, we’ll visit six of the region's denominations, taste the difference in styles which arise from the diverse landscape, and explore the transformation of Catalunya into a world-class wine destination. About your instructor: Alberto Martinez Interiano is Spanish Wine Scholar, Certified Sherry Educator and holds the WSET Diploma in Wines.
