Italy can be overwhelming...so many grapes, so many appellations, so many wines & stories. This is the big advantage and disadvantage of Italian wines, wrapped up into one. For this reason (and others we will explore), there are many Italian wines that are severely undervalued, and age in the cellar like top French Cru...but at a fraction of the cost! I have been thinking about this a lot, you don't have to be rich to experience the joy of watching a wine evolve over time, you just have to be curious. In this class, we will explore lesser-known Italian appellations that deliver wines which can develop in your cellar for 10 or even 20 years...at a $20-$30 price point (retail USA :)!!! In this workshop, we will taste wines from all over Italy, from all styles, with some special gems from my cellar!
