Red Wines of Bourgogne: A Three Part Series
Time & Location
About the Event
This three part series will explore the terroir, geology, people, stories, and sensory profiles of the red wines of Bourgogne from North to South. In Bourgogne one would never refer to a white wine as a Pinot Noir (even though most of them are 100% Pinot Noir), instead, the wines are always referred to by their place name. The reason for this is the intense terroir diversity, and Pinot Noir's exceptional ability to tell the story of that diversity. In this series, Official Bourgogne Ambassador Tanya Morning Star Darling will lead you through the history, terroir factors, and sensory characteristics which make each of the great red wine appellations of Bourgogne so unique.
Tanya will curate 2 wines for virtual tasting in each session. Students should go to their favorite local shop to order and purchase wines (sold separately)
